Actual itinerary for two couples

Two couples, friends, wanted to experience the Cyclades and a taste of mainland. They spent the first day in Athens, then six days in the Cyclades, two days in Nafplion, and final two days in Athens area.
ITINERARY

• Pick up at Athens airport
• Stroll Plaka & Monastiraki
• Lunch
• Rest at hotel

• Fly from Athens to Paros; 45 min.
• Visit Church of Madonna, founded by St. Helen around 300 AD
• Continue to Paroikia, main port town.
• Drive to villages of Lefkes & Marpissa
• Visit the port town of Naoussa
• Return to hotel; dinner

• Take short ferry ride (10 min.) to Antiparos Island
• Visit town of Antiparos
• Continue to Antiparos Cave
• Return to Paros and visit Moraitis Winery
• Transfer to hotel; dinner

• Take ferry from Paros to Naxos; arr. 12:00 noon
• Start with tour of Chora (main town at the port)
• Join gastronomy tour
• Tour of site in the south side
• Arrive at hotel, check-in and enjoy swim

• Travel inland to the center of island
• Valley of Tragaias
• Bazeos Tower
• Village of Chalkeio, Filoti, Fotodoti Monastery
• Paleochristian Church of Panagia Drosiani
• Apeiranthos and Moutsouna Beach
• Transfer to hotel; dinner

• Take ferry from Naxos; arr. 12:00 noon
• Transfer to Akrotiri site
• Tour inland villages: Emporio, Kallisti, Prophet Elijah Monastery
• Transfer to hotel in Fira, main town; dinner

• Pick up for sailing trip
• Half day sailing trip (morning)
• Return to hotel
• Transfer to Oia; tour and sunset; dinner
• Transfer to hotel

• Fly from Santorini to Athens; airport pickup
• Visit Ancient Corinth & museum
• Visit Mycenae Citadel
• Hotel check-in; old town tour and dinner
• Walk back to hotel

• Tour Palamidi Castle
• Extended tour of Old City
• Take boat to Bourtzi Castle in the bay
• Visit ancient theater of Epidaurus
• Transfer to hotel; dinner

• After breakfast begin return to Athens
• Visit Nemea wine country; lunch at local taverna
• Drive to Athens Airport hotel
• Check in at Holiday Inn, close to airport

• Visit Acropolis hill
• Tour the Agora & Roman Forum
• Gift shopping in Monastiraki
• Return to hotel

Pick up from hotel and 10 min. drive to Athens airport

PAROS
On Paros Island St. George Hotel was chosen, right on the beautiful New Golden Beach. A perfect place to relax and enjoy a swim in the Aegean Sea.
NAXOS
Naxos is the largest of the Cyclades group. It’s surprisingly green, with a fertile inner valley. The Sundunes hotel was selected for its amenities and elegant minimalist style.
SANTORINI
Santorini is famous for its spectacular landscape, formed 3,600 years by a volcanic explosion. Castro Suites was chosen for its spacious rooms and caldera view.
NAFPLION
Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece in 1832, has maintained its charm and its architecture in the old city. We prefer Regno Di Morea for its luxurious rooms and location.
RETURN to ATHENS
Holiday Inn at Athens airport is very clean and comfortable. Less than 10 minutes from airport.
